It is the purpose of this agreement to exempt, waive, and relieve the Arkansas Skatium owners, operators, managers, employees, visitors, customers, other skaters, coaches, instructors, and officials from liability for personal injury, property damage, contracting COVID-19, and wrongful death. Skating involves serious risk of injury, including death, that may originate from falls, slips, collisions with other skaters, other accidents associated with skating, and/or being in the presence of the skating arena. Regarding COVID-19, the World Health Organization has declared it a worldwide pandemic, that is extremely contagious, and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people. The Arkansas Skatium has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Arkansas Skatium cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Participant, or his/her legal guardian understands these risks and assumes them and therefore releases Arkansas Skatium owners, operators, managers, employees, visitors, customers, other skaters, coaches, and officials from liability resulting from participation in group instruction, private instruction, class participation, or any other skiing activity conducted at the Arkansas Skatium.
