Figure skating is a big part of the Skatium. We have many programs to suit your needs. We offer classes, private lessons, camps, freestyle sessions and more.
Freestyle Sessions
These sessions are open to Basic 8 skaters or private lesson students only.

Freestyle Pricing
Skaters have 3 payment options for Freestyle Skating Times:
Freestyle Gold card
- $175.
- Allows unlimited Freestyle hours and unlimited public session for 1 month.
- Must be purchased no later than the 5th of each month and will be valid for 1 month only. The cost of the card will go up $10 per day after the 5th.
Drop-in
- 1 hour: $12
- Skaters must pay rink personnel before taking the ice.
- Please note that an attendant may not be readily available to complete drop-in transactions prior to Freestyle, and there may be a delay before skater is authorized to skate.
Freestyle Slips
- 11 slips for $125
- Each slip is worth 1 hour of Freestyle Skating.
- Slips are purchased through our Proshop.
- Slips must be filled out by the skater and placed in the Freestyle Drop-box before taking the ice.
Note that coaches’ lesson fees are separate from Freestyle and Public Session ice fees.
Skaters must present slips, cards or payment before skating.
Failure to comply with the above procedures will result in a penalty fee of $25, which will be required in order to regain eligibility to skate during future Freestyle or Public Sessions.
Club
The Arkansas Skatium is home ice to the Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club (DEFSC), which hosts many events, including competitions. To join or find out more, visit the DEFSC website.
The last Sunday of each month, 1:00-2:00pm, is the DEFSC Social Hour and Adult Freestyle.
